In exclusive footage obtained by The Sun, the Love Island villa is seen surrounded by vans and shipping containers.

It appears to be undergoing renovations as large yellow construction vehicles can also be seen on the site.

The cast and crew also set up a store, with tents and temporary office buildings scattered around the grounds.

Last month the villa was in a very different state – with crumbling walls and no kitchen.

A source has already told us there are backup options on the table if travel restrictions mean the Spanish island is off limits.

An insider explained: “In a perfect world, Love Island would be filmed in the original villa they use in Mallorca.

“But the pandemic has meant contingency plans are more important than ever and other venues have been discussed for the show.

“The Greek island of Crete has become a favorite due to its accessibility and superb locations.

“Nothing is off the charts for Love Island at this time.”

A trailer for the new series has revealed that the popular dating show will begin in June.

Love Island is set to return at the end of the month, with the crew flying to Mallorca on June 20.

Filming should then begin in the famous villa a week later.

One person who should grace our screens this summer is Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, Tilly.

Earlier this year, The Sun revealed that ITV bosses had spent months trying to land the fashion student.

Insiders said she canceled modeling work to appear on the show this summer.

The Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design student in central London also appeared with her family on CBBC cooking show Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch.

A source from the show said: “Holly is the big rookie – she’s the one they really wanted to get.

“It took months of talks, but Holly is now committed to it. She is a very exciting addition to the cast and will be a huge hit with viewers.

“Holly was raised to work hard, show respect and not rely on her father’s fame.

“She finds her own way and will succeed on her own.”
