Former Kilmarnock player Aaron Simpson to enter Love Island villa

Former Kilmarnock player Aaron Simpson will move into the Love Island villa – and he could prove to be a problem for Scottish islander Dale Mehmet.

The 24-year-old flew to Mallorca to join the ITV2 show after the dramatic dumping of four contestants earlier this week.

Aaron is currently plying his trade as a footballer and previously had a spell with Scottish Championship side Kilmarnock in 2018.

But his time with the Ayrshire club was short-lived as he made just four appearances in six months.

Now Aaron is aiming to have a good time on Love Island – and is said to have his eyes on Mary Bedford, who is currently in a relationship with Glasgow barber Dale.

But, the lone Scottish islander could be spared potential danger as he also seeks to get to know Chloe Burrows.

In an interview with the Daily Star, Aaron said any potential partner will have to convince their mother to make the relationship last.

He said: “Sometimes it can be hard to tell if someone is genuine or not. My mum is really protective of me. Approval is always needed from mum, that’s for sure.
