G20 Summit: Ministry Prepares Facilities to Support Media Coverage

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Ministry of Communication and Information Technology will be prepare high-speed Internet coverage for national and international media teams covering the G20 summit, which will be held in Bali on November 15-16, 2022. “We will be preparing a number of facilities at the media center, including a working space with 96 PCs (personal computers ) connected to a LAN (local area connection) network with 1.5 Gbps (gigabytes per second) internet broadband,” director general of information and public communication at the ministry Usman Kansong said on Tuesday.

The media center prepared by the ministry will be equipped to accommodate around 1,500 media teams, he told a press conference on media registration and preparation for coverage of the G20 summit.

He said the media center is scheduled to be open from November 13 to 17, 2022 at the Bali International Convention Center or the Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali.

Registration for domestic and foreign journalists wishing to cover the international event opened on September 5, 2022, Kansong said. They will close on October 10.

On Tuesday September 20, 750 journalists from 156 media registered to cover the summit. The number includes 547 journalists from 111 international media organizations and 203 journalists from 45 national media.
