Gemma Owen and Luca Bish’s family walk into Love Island villa TONIGHT and deliver romance verdict

GEMMA Owen’s mother will arrive at the Love Island villa tonight to give her take on her daughter’s romance with Luca Bish.

It comes shortly after Louise Owen – wife of former footballer Michael – told how she spoke out against the ‘bullying’ of Tasha Ghouri.

Many thought that would have meant curtains for Luca and Gemma – with Tasha under fire from many guys, including the fishmonger.

Yet as the Meet The Parents episode returns tonight, Gemma’s mother and her friend Sarah arrive.

Louise tells Gemma of her dad Michael, “Honestly, he’s really proud of you, really proud.”

She added of the extended family: “They all love watching you, they miss you like crazy.”

Luca’s dad Michael – who arrives in his own signature fish shoes – says of Gemma: “She puts you straight, doesn’t she.”

Maria adds about Gemma: “The first night I said they loved each other, I knew it.

“I like the values and morals she has.”

It remains to be seen how the full conversation will pan out.

Viewers are sure Louise could enlighten her daughter about the “red flags” he’s thrown up throughout the series.

A source previously told the Mail Online that Gemma’s mum will come into the villa – not Michael – and won’t hold back if she doesn’t like Luca.

“Louise is very outspoken and doesn’t pull any punches,” the insider said. “If she doesn’t like someone, she’ll say so. It’s a trait Gemma inherited.”

The Meet The Parents episode will air just 24 hours before this year’s Love Island live finale.

Fans will find out on Monday night which couple were crowned the 2022 winners of the ITV2 show.

But it has been claimed Gemma, 19, was ready to ‘quit’ even before she reached the final hurdle.

Lacey Edwards, who moved into the villa for just a few days last week, insisted the dressage rider and Luca are ‘finished’ the show now.

In a TikTok video, Lacey said: “They’ve been there for so long and they really found what they were looking for, they could just move in together and go home together now.

“They’re done doing the games and the challenges. With Luca, it’s playing with his head, he’s like, ‘I just want my girlfriend and I want out of here now’.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the next morning on BritBox
