Glasgow islander Dale claims a place in Love Island villa

Glasgow finally has a performance in the Love Island villa after barber Dale Mehmet claimed his place on last night’s show.

Dale, 24, was welcomed back to the original villa last night after coupling up with Chloe Burrows, 25, during Casa Amor’s tense recoupling.

Dale, along with five other boys, were brought into the villa on Monday night, with six new girls also joining the original boys in a separate villa.

Casa Amor week sees couples put to the test, with 12 new boys and girls thrown in to stir up trouble.

With the original couples separated, the culmination of the week sees the boys return to the Love Island villa, revealing whether they stayed with their partner or dumped them for one of Casa Amor’s newcomers.

The original girls, who were left in the Love Island villa with the six new boys, were also given the choice to stick or twist.

In last night’s episode, Chloe, who was previously in a relationship with Professor Hugo Hammond, succumbed to Glasgow’s spell and chose to re-couple with Dale, meaning the Glasgow islander is now part of the permanent villa.

Earlier in the episode, however, Dale had expressed his intention to get to know fellow islander Faye as well as Chloe.

Dale has also impressed fans, with some dubbing him the “Scottish Conor McGregor” and comparing his appearance to the Irish mixed martial artist.

The re-coupling continues tonight, with fellow Glasgow lad Harry Young still in contention for a place in the villa.
