A new driving range and major improvements to the golf course have been unveiled as part of a £2million investment in the Bicester Hotel, Golf & Spa by Great Wolf Stationswhich is building its first indoor water park and family resort in the UK on a site that was part of the former golf course.

The renovated par-71 course features 36 newly designed tees, freshly renovated bunkers and seven lake systems, combined with nine completely rebuilt green complexes. It also has a new 13-station driving range with fully interactive TopTracer technology and a specially designed training area.

The new golf course, designed by Swan Golf Designs, was created to appeal to a wider audience than the traditional 18-hole course it replaces, with multiple sets of tees allowing all abilities to rise to the challenge. The new short and long game practice facility with ball tracing technology and short course also aims to provide a stepping stone to attract new golfers to the game.

The redevelopment of the golf course frees up space for the construction of the new Great Wolf Lodge in Chesterton. Before work began on this new family destination, Murray Hennessy, Managing Director of Great Wolf Resorts, returned the upgraded course to representatives from Bicester Hotel, Golf & Spa alongside representatives from England Golf.

Murray Hennessy, CEO of Great Wolf Resorts, said, “We are proud to be a good neighbor and a proud supporter of the communities in which our family resorts are located, and we are delighted to begin our journey here in Chesterton by providing a Fantastic new golf course for locals and hotel guests.
