ITV is reportedly looking for a new Love Island villa for 2022.

This year, Love Island could be *very* different, as producers are said to be looking for an all-new location.

Fans of the show will know it’s been set in an incredible villa in Mallorca for a few years, but The Sun reports that bosses are considering a new location for 2022.

Reports say ITV is considering relocating to the foothills, lakeside or coast – but features such as the pool and iconic fire pit will return.

An insider said: “Love Island has moved from a location in Santanyi in the south of Mallorca, which was its home for series one and two, to the current villa in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar in the northeast.

“Bosses are aware that this is also an opportunity to consider any new elements they might introduce to further enrich the show.”

They added: “For Love Island fans this is huge news and they will be eager to see what the new villa looks like and how much of a game changer it could be.”

Heart.co.uk has contacted ITV for comment.

We don’t yet have confirmation on whether Love Island will return for season two, but it will air sometime this summer.
