President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has embarked on a four-island tour of Haa Alif and Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
President Solih left Monday morning for his three official days.
The President will visit Haa Dhaalu Naivaadhoo, Haa Dhaalu Finey, Haa Alifu Utheemu and Haa Alifu Dhidhdhoo during the tour.
During the tour, President Solih will inaugurate government-initiated infrastructure projects on these islands.
Some of the projects include the installation of water and sewage systems and the construction of new power plants.
In addition, President Solih will attend the ceremony organized to mark the official launch of Raajje Transport Link (RTL) Zone 1. RTL Zone 1 connects 41 islands in the Bodu-Thiladhunmathi region with high-speed ferry service.
During the visit, President Solih will also meet with members of Island Councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDCs) from the four islands.
Additionally, First Lady Fazna Ahmed will join the President at Haa Alifu Utheemu, where this year’s National Day celebrations are officially taking place.
The president, accompanied by senior government officials, is due to return to Male on Wednesday.
