Island villa

Reason why Laura Whitmore does not isolate herself between the villa of Love Island and the United Kingdom

Laura Whitmore’s filming schedule for Love Island may seem full – with the presenter traveling to Mallorca to enter the villa, then returning to the UK for spin-off show Aftersun.

This has led many fans to wonder how the 36-year-old can travel back and forth without self-isolating for the ten days required for those returning to the UK from Orange List countries.

A fan recently commented on Twitter: “How does it work for Laura Whitmore.. like going to the villa then doing after sun like there’s no quarantine?”

Another said: ‘Why doesn’t Laura Whitmore have to quarantine between after sun and being in the villa, but jettisoned islanders do? Confused.’

However, the quarantine rules only apply to those who haven’t had both of their shots and Laura recently revealed she was double-doubled.

Opening up about the logistics of her filming schedule in a recent Instagram Q&A, Laura explained: “The Balearic Islands were in amber so when I did [go there] I had to self-isolate for five days, I’m not sure everyone knew that. I had to self-isolate for five days upon my return.

“Then [rules] turned green, and now it’s turned orange again, but I’m double vaxxed.

Laura Whitmore hosts spin-off show Aftersun on Sunday nights.

“I also have to be in London every Sunday as part of my Love Island contract. I need to host Love Island: Aftersun, which I love. It’s so much fun, I love live TV. “

“But it’s another logistical nightmare, that we have to make sure I’m always back in time for that. If I could, I’d probably move into the, I mean who wouldn’t?”

This comes after fans recently questioned why the Love Islanders wore sunglasses in the bedroom.

One tweeted, “Why do they wear sunglasses as soon as they wake up #LoveIsland?”

While another asked: “The first thing you do when you wake up is put on sunglasses?”

A viewer also shared, “I don’t really understand the whole thing about waking up and looking for sunglasses.”

A social media user hinted that he knew why he was doing this.

They claimed former contestants revealed that it was because the bedroom light was very bright first thing in the morning.

“Are the lights really that bright to wear sunglasses?” said the Twitter user.
