Ronan Keating and Yvonne Connolly’s eldest son, Jack, has been revealed as one of Love Island’s newest stars and his parents were quick to throw their support behind him.
Ronan’s eldest son and ex-wife Yvonne, Jack, 23, is one of the new boys entering Casa Amor tonight.
Last night the lights went on at Casa Amor – the separate villa that has doomed many relationships in the world of Love Island.
Unlike other editions of the hit show, the contestants leave the main house and Jack will be one of the boys sent to try and tempt them.
Debutante Jack said her dad was ‘buzzing’ to enter the Love Island villa.
“My father is a singer, Ronan Keating. He’ll be watching when I’m on it for sure,” he said.
“It buzzes for me, my dad and I are very close, we’re best friends.”
Taking to Instagram to reveal the news, Jack wrote: ‘Officially entering the villa of love. Your new favorite Irish boy Jackooooo will be on your screens.
‘The Keating Clan do their duty to bring you your live updates and the best bits from our boyo. So excited for this.
His famous dad was quick to add his support in the comments, with the simple message, “Let’s go son.”
Her mother Yvonne Connolly also took to social media to express her excitement.
She wrote, “Love Island has provided the entertainment and brought the drama this season. Just when I thought I couldn’t take any more excitement, my son Jack Keating visits Casa Amor tonight.
Signing off, former model Yvonne admitted “it was a hard secret to keep”.
Jack, who lives in London and is a social media marketer, said his main motivation on the show was to find love.
He said: ‘I’ve been single for a long time, probably four or five years now and I really miss that spark that I haven’t had in the dating scene, like I’ve been dating for a long time.’
Jack also said he was ready to break up existing couples with “good conversation and a bit of Irish charm too”.
Jack said he hoped to bring “some energy” to the show and described himself as a “pretty positive fun guy”.
He also said he wouldn’t be afraid to make enemies in the hunt for love. “I’m very competitive, that’s for sure. I play rugby at home in Dublin and London so I definitely have that competitive edge.
Jack also admitted that he didn’t mind stealing another man’s girlfriend.
“I will have to potentially break up a couple maybe. It won’t be the most ideal thing, but I have to do what’s best for me.
He also added: “I’ve never cheated on anyone. I can be very compassionate, I’m not afraid to tell a girl how I feel – I wear my heart on my sleeve most of the time.
Jack is one of six new faces to enter the competition tonight and will be on at least four episodes of the hit show.
Earlier in the summer, rumors swirled that influencer and former Dancing with the Stars contestant Missy Keating was going to be on the show.
