She was shown the door when she was left single by the late arrival of Chloe Burrows, choosing to pair up with Aaron Francis.
The sudden move led viewers to believe it was all part of a bigger twist, but now show insiders have shut down the speculation.
They told The Sun: “Shannon will not be returning to the show – she will not be returning to the villa or the casa amor – she was dumped from the villa.”
Fans of the ITV2 show – including former islander Amy Hart – believed bosses were preparing to bring her back and she was being held at another villa.
Amy told us, “She was quarantined for three weeks before, which makes me think she’s going back.”
As one fan tweeted: “If she was out she would have gotten her phone back by now, especially since it’s filmed at least a day in advance. She’s definitely coming back somehow other.”
Meanwhile, the model insisted she would happily return to the villa when interviewed by The Sun.
When asked if she would return, she replied, “Yeah, why not? I want to resume my streaming and then go on vacation with the girls.
“And then I will know what to do. It was very short lived. Surrealist. But I’m obviously very grateful to have had this opportunity. I don’t leave fulminating, I leave grateful.
