Hosted by Laura Whitmore, all announcements and program highlights generally take place around the All-Important Foyer.
So for fans, the prospect of having two households in the same villa suggests there is drama to come.
Kicking off the rumours, journalist Orlaith Condon announced on her My Pod On Paper podcast: “I teased something on the podcast last night about a source I have, who knew some secret information about the new villa. .”
She continued, “They revealed it to me because they know I’m a freak and I’m obsessed with small details. It might not mean anything, but it could also be tied to a theory.
“There’s a second home at the villa. I don’t believe they showed it on camera, but there’s a second home at the villa and apparently the producers of Love Island said, ‘It’s very quiet.”
Continuing her reflection, she added: “When I heard that, I [thought]are they going to do some kind of I’m A Celeb [scenario] with two camps, two platforms, teams?
“Because the foyer is really the ceremonial space. I’d like to believe that they wouldn’t include a new foyer that would cost to build, and I also think that if you keep it locked up, they’re not just the do for a flurry of excitement about a hearth.
“I’m thinking, could that mean a second storyline or a team storyline, or splitting the villa in two or two…? I think that might mean something exciting, I don’t know! “
Picking up the conversation on Reddit, one viewer noted, “Okay so potentially SPOILER for the season if you hate any kind of spoilers!!
“The host of My Pod On Paper Orlaith said in the most recent episode that I just listened to during my ride that she has an inside source who said there are two fire pits at the villa and that ‘one hasn’t been shown at all yet.
They continued, “Which suggests they could do a big switcheroo/twist at some point.
“However, it might come to nothing, much like the Hideaway at Casa Amor last year LMAO.”

But an eagle-eyed observer said: ‘One of the islanders pointed to something off-screen and asked if it was the hearth, but then they went to the one we saw!!’
Another added: “OMG you are right!!”
However, insiders at the show have insisted that the property has just been delivered with two fireplaces.
This year the show has created a stunning six bedroom rural property in Mallorca.
Fitted out with a huge pool, chic outdoor kitchen and neon slogans.
Outside, there’s plenty of space for romantics to relax, confide, and kiss cheekily with their crushes.
The balcony features another biscuit-colored L-shaped sofa, again dotted with bright cushions and an inviting terracotta rug.
There is also a round outdoor daybed which might suit the majority of islanders, should they all wish to get cozy together.
And there’s no excuse for would-be influencers to skip their daily workouts as there’s an outdoor gym in the new villa with weights and pull-up bars.
Love Island continues weekdays at 9 p.m. on ITV2.
